(these are subject to change, please check back often!)

Be Respectful: This is really a no-brainer. The main goal for this site is for everyone to have fun. It's not mandatory that you have to be friends with everyone, but at least try to be nice. If you have a problem with someone, please keep it offsite and take it to whatever messenger you use. We all want a drama-free environment here.

Patience: Patience is very important. Although we staff have put a lot of time and consideration into this site, we still have lives like everyone else and will not be around 24/7. If you have a profile awaiting approval or rechecking, please wait at least 3 days before sending us a PM. Whining about profiles sitting around waiting for approval will only make things take longer. So please, be patient.

Activity: Please try to remain active. We all have lives, staff included, but try to post at least once every two weeks. If you are unable to post for whatever reason (family emergency, school, sickness, malfunctioning computer, etc.) then please post up an absence thread or notice to let us know what's up. In the meantime, we'll miss you!

Literacy: Spellbound is a Literate RP. Spelling and correct grammar are expected of you. We understand if English isn't your first language or if you have a disability like dyslexia, but please try to write to the best of your ability. A typo here and there is fine, but if a post is unreadable, then there will be a problem.

Spam: Another no-brainer. No one likes spam. So please don't spam, otherwise I'll throw you to the Dementors.

Avatars and Signatures: The standard size for avatars, as with most RP Forums, is 100x100. Keep in mind that the 200x300 icon that is shown before you hover can be changed in your profile under the personal section. Signatures must be no bigger than 500x250.

RP Rules

Godmodding: There is no godmoding, powerplaying, and/or metagaming. This will be not tolerated on the forum. This means controlling another member's characters in any way without their permission. Depending on the severity, first offenders will be given a fair warning. The second offense will receive a week-long ban, and the third or fourth will receive a permaban. Please do not give us reason to do this.

Order: For the sake of order and clarity, please devise a posting order when RPing and stick to it. If someone hasn't posted in a two or so days, please be patient. If you're waiting longer, shoot them a friendly reminder PM and ask them what's going on before skipping them.

Post Size: There is no strict set length that you are to required to post within each and every post. The lengths tend to stifle ones mind and the staff personally understand this. We would like you to keep in mind though that it's rather awful to have typed up an awesome 700 or so word post, only to get 100 words in return. Keep your roleplay partner in mind when posting.

Characters: You are allowed to have multiple characters. However, you must have a separate account for each one. An important rule of thumb here is to not bite off more than you can chew. You can make as many characters as you'd like PROVIDED you can handle and are active with each one.

RP Content: As per Proboard regulations, this site is rated PG-13. So please, no excessive violence and/or drinking/drug use. Keep smut either tasteful or private. Profanity is allowed as long as it isn't at a Tourette's level.

Cbox Rules

(these are more indepth than the rules by the cbox so one can fully understand)

Spamming: This should be a given really. Its being said for the cbox because well we don't want it there either. And neither does the cbox. It autobans upon at least 5 posts in a complete row. I would know. Just be careful because I can't guarantee that we'll go and unban you for it.

Advertising: Don't do it. Okay? Yeah there is a place to do this and it is not in the cbox. SO DON'T DO IT HERE. Go to the proper place or I'll end you. Its not advertising however if someone asks for a link or something because they asked for it.

Fighting: Do not fight in the cbox. Please. Cause we really would hate to ban people for doing it. We would like to promote niceness not hissy hiss hiss mean people. Don't start a fight cause we will gladly end it.

Profiles: Do not ask us to look at profiles in the cbox. Some of us, not naming names, do the complete opposite when asked to look at profiles. It could be left for a day or so without being looked at and no one likes that. Or wants that. So don't ask us and we won't have any problems.

Chat Speak: You know what it is. If you want to be a dick about it then go look it up. Its not that hard and being an ass about it is not needed. Just keep it to a minimum and it'll all be chill.

Flaming: This goes along with fighting honestly. This is usually how fights start out actually so don't do it. You should know better and we will certainly ban you if you do start flaming.

Impersonation: Dunno why anyone would do this in the first place. Just don't do it and there will not be any problems. This includes staff as well and if you are caught impersonating a staff member then you will be banned so don't do it and everything will be chill.

Swearing: Now now. I know we cuss in there. Everyone pretty much does. Just keep it to a minimum and it'll all be fine. Okay? We try to avoid doing it a lot. And you should as well.

IC Box: This is an incharacter section so you should be in character while here. Little side comments are fine but nothing excessive. Don't have straight out of character comments in there please. And you should be in there as an approved character unless otherwise stated by a staff member. Also it should be known that as the In Character cbox it should be appreciated with the RP rules.

Have fun: Not a bannable rule. Just a suggestion. Have fun cause we are fun~
