But, she went out with a half-blood boy during her time at Hogwarts but he turned out to be a total jerk who tried to force himself on her on a date in Hogsmeade. Pushing him away she hexed him and he ended up in the hospital wing after the shock. She didn't get a detention on the reason he was at fault and she used self-defence. They broke up and they stopped talking. She is quite glad of this outcome. She hasn't been really trusting of guys since that event. She is very interested in the man she is engaged to. They went to school together and had common friends. She would never admit it, but if he went right out and told her he loves her and wants to marry her not out of obligation but out of interest/love, she would blush and run away and would tell him she also likes him about a few days after. Pearl's brother-in-law is British-French pureblood wizard Jean-Sébastien Roché. He is 30 years old and works for the Ministry in the Department of International Magical Cooperation. Her niece is named Abigail (Marie Hélène Elizabeth Anne Ophélie Victoria Céleste) who is 1 year old. She has a cousin, Lawrence (called Larry) Hughes on her mum's side who's a squib. Contrary to popular belief, he hasn't been shunned from the family but was forced to marry a muggleborn girl. That deal came from Pearl's mother herself who didn't want to see her nephew totally shunned from her life. He and his wife live in Cornwall, UK, expecting their first child.
