No Fear!--[Mei]

It was so quiet in the fifth year dormitory that it would be surprising that anyone was awake. The green haired female was though and she rolled onto her side as she tried to fall asleep. She was rather restless and it never really was like that. It was almost like her body was accustomed to her wonderful fear. It might have also been the way the clouds had looked outside the dorm tower before all the lights had been extinguished in the dorm.

Whatever the case, it had left her tossing in her bed trying to get comfortable as her eyes darted at the slightest noise. She had quite a lot of dislike for storms after all and she couldn't sleep a wink when there was one. She pacified this fear while she was at school though as she always had her Mei to help her sleep. She couldn't necessarily crawl into Mei's bed back home. Sure they were Li-fen that were together but their relationship wouldn't produce any children; it wasn't necessarily frowned upon but still.

But, yes, at school she was able to crawl into Mei's bed and being with her usually calmed her down enough to pass out. Any other time though she'd wind up staying up all night cowering in fear as she waited for it to pass over. She had been scolded over it plenty of times as a child but its not like she could really help it though. There was no telling anyone she was afraid of a little thunder storm though because she'd feel weak. She didn't like her little fear especially when all the people from her family were supposed to be strong even if she was just a little ol' medic.

That was where her Mei came into play. Ever since their first year of going to Hogwarts she had been crawling into her bed to feel safe. Her Mei was a warrior from their family after all and so she felt a whole lot safer with her. She just hadn't went to crawl into her bed just yet this evening as she had been trying to ignore the possibility of a storm. It could have been her eyes playing tricks on her but the restlessness she was feeling from it must not be exaggerated.

Lime almost thought she'd be fine and that she was being silly. There had been no noise so far and so she had almost lulled herself off to sleep. It was like the storm had done it on purpose to get a complete scare out of her and it did. The sudden loud crash nearly had her jump out of her bed and she bit down on her bottom lip to keep herself from screaming in terror. This was very unnatural of a Li-fen and she was surely ashamed of herself for being scared of a measly little storm, which was why she needed her rock.

"Mei..." Lime whispered to the bed that was to the right of hers. "Mei, are you still awake?" She continued in the same whisper maybe a little bit more urgent sounding than before trying to get her girl's attention.

She couldn’t breathe, everything was getting closer, and she was dying. Meifeng couldn’t take in enough oxygen, she was going to die, it only made sense. And that’s when a whisper, nothing much louder, shattered her nightmare. Part of her training, was being able to sleep light as a feather, which was a big pain in the butt. Meifeng had a fear of tight spaces, and from the first time she had actually said she couldn’t breathe in them, they became part of her daily training regimen. A Li-Fen warrior can’t fear anything, especially something as stupid as tight quarters. She instantly recognized the voice; it was Lin, the sweetest thing Meifeng had ever met. Though, it didn’t really hide the annoyance that draped in her voice, she knew she wasn’t going to be able to get back to sleep, especially when it was thundering and the sky was partially screaming. Every time she heard thunder, her eyes clamped shut. She hated loud noises, sharp tones, and yelling. Then, it all came back to her groggy mind. “I suppose I am now.”

Lin had a fear of thunderstorms, and her sleep was more important than Meifeng’s. Lin was her flame after all, the one she valued above all others. So, she pushes the covers down, and sits up. She slid over a few minutes, so she was exactly on one half of her bed. She piled down the covers on the other half of the bed, and patted it gently. “Come in, Lin…”[/color] Her voice soft, trying to avoid anyone else that the two fifth year female Ravenclaws might be sharing a room with. Meifeng never bothered to learn a majority of her classmates’ names, because why should she? They were beneath her, they were filth, trash that roamed the Earth. You don’t bother learning the store of every plastic bag that flies by on a road? Do you? No, it’s the same with the trash that inhabits this place.

They were taking her air, wasn’t that simple enough? They were practically unworthy to breath the same air as she did, and here they were rooming with her. Maybe she should scream and wake them all up? No, no, she shouldn’t. It wasn’t worth it, because then, Meifeng would have to hear thei annoying tunes and annoying accents and everything else that went along with being here.

She honestly hated being at Hogwarts, the only god point was that she could be close to Lin while she was here, they could sleep in the same bed. They could cuddle without feeling judged, Lin almost made Mei feel as though she was human. But, no matter how much her love made her feel alive, she knew desperately, she wasn’t human, she was a monster who had the same emotional capabilities as a walking corpse. It wasn’t her fault, that she lacked such a range of emotions, no it wasn’t her’s, it was her training. Emotions were weakening, but she tried to push those away for Lin, and only for Lin.

Lin Mei lay on her bed with her body tensing up every time she heard thunder and waited for her Mei to answer her. She hoped that she was awake so that she could join her and feel safe without any trouble. She couldn't really hope to not wake her when joining her because she was waking her up either way. Sure she would feel bad about it but she wouldn't end up telling her that. It seemed that every time she was asking Mei if she was awake that she forgot that she was a light sleeper.

It was one of the training things that the warriors went through. They had to be light sleepers so they could be prepared for anything. She knew this in the back of her mind but yet she seemed to always forget when it came to her fear. She cursed herself in her mind when she heard the tone of annoyance in her voice as she said she was now she supposed. She'd have to make up for waking up Mei later on when it wasn't so stormy outside.

The green haired female never had to bother asking about joining Mei in her bed. Her girl seemed to know exactly why she was bothering her right now. It had to be instinct by now for Mei to say yes to her and allow her into her bed. It wasn't like they were already in each other's bed on a nightly basis though. On the nights like tonight though it was more a cuddle fest than anything and once she was comfortable she'd end up asleep.

Lime strained her eyes in the darkness of the room and watched as Mei pushed the covers down on her bed. She scooted over to the other side of her bed and pile the sheets aside on the now empty side of the bed. A small smile graced her lips as she saw Mei pat the empty side of the bed gently and told her to come in. She threw the covers off herself and slid out of her bed to join Mei in hers. She climbed into Mei's bed and pulled the covers up over her.

"Sorry for waking you, dear." Lime whispered as she lay down beside Mei and tried to get comfortable. "But thank you for indulging in me." She continued as she shuddered slightly at the sound of thunder and she shut her eyes tightly in response.

She never liked loud noises. They consisted of yelling and screaming,. They just gave her horrid flashbacks to her childhood. Because of that, she made sure she never raised her voice. Even if Meifeng was angry, she never screamed or yelled. She made sure of that. Maybe that was the scariest part about the Li-fen, the fact that you could never tell what she was really feeling inside. She considered herself rather emotionless; she was a soldier, made for orders. Ultimately designed to be strong and die. She was one of the very few female warriors, and she was proud that she was able to make it this far in the game. Sure, the Empress was never a female, but she didn’t truly count. No one could look down on her based on her gender and live. She was the ultimate authority, until she was died or rather killed. It was the way, she was probably to die at someone else’s hands. Especially considering she was such a tyrant. Don’t get Meifeng wrong, she loved her Empress and was willing to follow her to the very end. But she could understand how people like Da Min could revolt, especially when they’re lagging around trash. Though, if the Empress did ever threaten Lin’s survival, all bets were off. All loyalties would disappear, Lin was Meifeng’s. Why was Lin sorry? Meifeng was there for when she needed her, and she would be to the very last breath she would take. ”No need to be sorry, Lin.” Meifeng said gently, trying to sound as welcoming as she could. She wondered what would make Lin, so perfect, a girl who almost seemed untouched by the world they were cursed to be in, fall in love with Mei. Mei was tainted; a stain of darkness on Lin’s white robes, so to speak. She watched Lin climb into her bad, into the space Meifeng had patted for her. ”No need to thank me either, Lin.” Meifeng’s heart hurt as she saw Lin close her eyes at the sound of thunder. Meifeng forced her eyes to stay wide, she needed to be strong for Lin. She wanted to be strong for her. Lin was her everything, and she valued the girl far above everything else in this world, above her brother, and even above her Empress. Lin to put it simple, was her God. She leaned herself over Lin, propping herself up on her elbow. A hand ran through Lin’s green hair, as she leaned in and a gave the frightened girl a light kiss on the lips. ”Just relax…” She said softly, against Lin’s lips. Affection wasn’t something that came naturally to Mei, and it was almost hard for her to do. But she pushed through it. She wanted to show Lin that she cared, that Lin mattered to her above everything and everyone else. She was her lover, and the only one she’d ever commit her heart and soul completely to. [/style]

Lin Mei would always apologize to Meifeng when she did something like wake her up. She felt the need to apologize to her since she was such a light sleeper anyway. She just nodded in response to her telling her that there was no need to be sorry. She thought she had to be sorry though for waking her up. Her sleep was something that she needed as a warrior and to keep the empress from getting upset with her.

That was one of the last things that she wanted for her dear Meifeng. She wanted her safe above all else and sometimes she even wished she was a medic like her. She wouldn't be worrying over the chance of ever having to take care of some serious injuries of hers or even find her dead. That was pretty much one reason why she had taken up the habit of smoking. It was her buffer for things that she wouldn't be able to deal with and helped her calm down for some odd reason.

She merely nodded again when Meifeng told her that she didn't need to thank her either. She couldn't help but feel the need to thank her though. She would always feel the need to thank her when she took such good care of her. She was always there making sure she was comfortable or try to keep her from being too frightened during thunder storms. She took such good care of her after all and the least she could do is tell her thank you for all the trouble.

"I can't help but thank you though. You take such good care of me after all." Lin said explaining why she thought she must say thank you to her.

Lime kept her eyes closed as she tried to keep herself from shivering any more than she already was. She was way more focused on trying to keep herself calm now that she was closer to her Meifeng and so she didn't notice the movement on the bed. She didn't like being like this and especially not in front of her Mei. She didn't like being afraid of such a simple thing like thunder storms. She thought herself weak for such a thing and it made her feel not at all a Li-fen because of it.

Her green eyes opened in slight surprise when she felt a kiss fall upon her lips. A smile came onto her face though when she saw it was just her Mei trying to get her to calm down. At the sound of her voice telling her to just relax and her soft lips against hers she couldn't help but do just that. The noise of the storm would still make her flinch up until the point of her falling asleep though. She pressed her lips up against Mei's and cuddled closer to her so she could feel a lot safer.

"I think I can do that." Lime said in response to her telling her to just relax. "Wo ai ni, Mei~" She continued on to tell her Mei that she loved her in their native language with a slight sing song tone.
