Layla was socially drained from the earlier part of the weekend, and had decided that all she wanted to do was something sleepy. Naturally, she found in the library – the sleepiest place of them all. There was something she wanted to look up. That something was Divination.Layla would never deny that she was a Seer, however she would also never admit to anyone that she didn’t know how to use her abilities. She didn’t understand how it worked at all. The best way she could describe them was that… ugh, she didn’t know! Sometimes she just knew things would happen. Usually small, insignificant thing, like the nuns were going to do a surprise inspection or that her roommate was going to have her shoes stolen. Well… okay, maybe that last one could have been significant. She should’ve told Cammie that her shoes were going to get stolen that day. She wasn’t too sure why she didn’t, and she wasn’t one to dwell on thoughts much either. Not those kinds, anyway. There wasn’t much of a selection to choose from as there was with other subjects, but there were still a fair amount of books dedicated to Divination. It was a bit intimidating, really. Layla didn’t know which book to pick. They were all so… ancient looking. And ugly. Layla pulled out a book at random, briefly looked at the title, and put it back. The title had some long, weird word in it, and the book smelt horribly of dust anyway. She repeated this a few more times, until she had met her match. A book on the shelf above stubbornly refused to be moved from its home. As Layla tip-toed and tugged and tugged on it, a bad feeling grew inside her until–– Too late. Layla screamed as she pulled free the book, only to have the books next to it fall down on top of her as well.
