NON MAIS SHUT UP OMG

I am so annoyed right now, I apologize if I get incoherent or make no sense… BUT OMG. I mean this would not affect most of you guys, but in Canada, we have these provinces and I need to rant about this one province that is probably getting on everybody's nerves. Québec.

So, I'm just so tired of hearing about this one protest going on in Québec right now. Since February 2012, they have been protesting against a hike in post-secondary fees. DO NOTE WE ARE IN MAY NOW! It's been going on for like 4 months. 4 FUCKING MONTHS. There's like nothing else on the news anymore. And I'm so pissed and tired of this because it's so DUMB!

So, I quote from an article that explains it ish.

The protests were sparked by the Charest government’s plan to add $1,625 to the annual cost of post-secondary education by 2016. At $2,519, the current average annual cost to attend a Quebec university is cheap compared to fees in other provinces. Even with the proposed increase, Quebec students would face substantially lower bills for post-secondary education than students outside Quebec.

This addition would make it come to $4,144 per year. This is where my problem lies… and I'll use myself as an example here.

Per year, I pay about $5,000+ minus the school supplies. Oh, and that's for "Community College"/hands-on education, whatever you want to call it. My brother pays $8,000+ per year, minus the school supplies. He's in a University program. We're in Ontario.

So, see the problem? Yes? No?

My problem with this stupid protest is how Québec's students don't look past their stupid little self and look at the rest of Canada. We don't protest for 4 FUCKING MONTHS when our fees go up. Sure, we complain. BUT WE DON'T PROTEST! They're just a bunch of little whiney babies but I'm sick and tired of hearing about their stupid little problem. $1,625 more is not a big deal! THEY HAVE THE LOWEST TUITION IN THE COUNTRY AND THEY WOULD STILL HAVE THE LOWEST AND THEY DARE COMPLAIN AND PROTEST!

LIKE FUCK LOGIC!

I just don't know what to think about this anymore. It makes me sick to my stomach to hear about it because it's so dumb… like stop complaining and look around you, around the world how more expensive it is…

But it doesn't surprise me from the province who, in the 1970-1980s wanted to separate from the rest of Canada and wanted to be recognized as a "nation". Well sorry, Québec, but you're the second poorest province in Canada who has had to rely on equalization payments for so long that you forget how to make your own money. Who knows how long you'd last as your own country/nation/whatever I don't give a fuck.

I just… i don't know what to think anymore omg. Pardon my stupid rant as an annoyed Canadian. If this was live I would have gone violent… o - o

In my country, I think the government would have put an end to it within four months lol. We don't exactly have the whole freedom of speech thing here. It's illegal when 3 or more gather for a purpose if I'm not mistaken |D

But yea, regarding Uni fees, I'd say 4k+ canadian is very cheap, especially when you compare it to Unis in England and Australia. GROW UP, PEOPLE!

I know the fucking feeling Sei. I mean seriously Quebec? Grow the fuck up, you're not some SPESHFUL SNOWFAKE like you want us to THINK you are, its time to but on big boy pants and be ADULTS. Time to think 'I should probably be focusing on other provinces not just myself' and as soon as you do that Quebec, I will actually give a flying fuck and think you've matured then being a brat throwing a fucking tantrum.

i really don't get the conversation of canadian dollars to american ones, but here in new york, i'm looking at 4,258.75
for a local university, if they even have what i'm looking for, and that's minus the school supplies. and that's the cheapest school in my area. :/ soooo, i really don't understand what they're barking at.

okay~ so, i just converted that, and their is 4,057.77 USD. i'd cry tears of joy if i'd pay that for college. |:
