She changed the sheets on all the beds, cleaning them and putting them away in the extra linen closet. She placed her items carefully on her desk and made her way to her room, making sure her piano and violin were carefully placed. She made her way back to the actual wing started to do an inventory of her potions and ingredients. Pearl was looking over her list one more time when movement outside caught her attention. She stopped her inventory checking and noticed someone... or something in the greenhouses. She looked through the large windows for a few minutes before she decided on checking who or what it was. Maybe it was the new Herbology teacher. She had heard there was a new one from another teacher. She hadn't quite caught his name when it was first mentioned but she knew it was a man. Being curious, she fixed her dress and bonnet and made her way out of the hospital wing, a list of herbs and plants in the pocket of her apron. Thinking to herself it would be a good time to meet said new teacher, considering she needed some herbs and plants from the greenhouses. Pearl made her way down the stairs from the wing and throughout the hallways of the castle. She got outside on the grounds and made her way to the greenhouses at a fast and confident pace. The waning light of day in the clear Grounds was a welcome sight. It had been a decade since he saw such a thing. The man dropped a single large duffel bag in front of the greenhouses and walked inside. The inside of the greenhouse was ablaze with orange from the setting sun. Devin took his time inspecting the plants kept here while lost in thought. He felt oddly at home here, like a grown man returning to a place he once lived as a child. Then again, it wasn't surprising considering his knack for Herbology during his years as a student. It was only natural that he would take up the mantle of Herbology professor from his predecessor.

He stepped over to the storage cabinets and inspected them as well. They were impeccably well-stocked and organized, no doubt the handiwork of the previous professor. He would have to better himself and be just as organized, as he never really was the type to keep things neat and orderly, and his time away in Siberia only exacerbated that. In the corner he noticed a severe lack of tools. It made sense, using spells to carry out functions was a massive convenience. However, Devin missed having an ax with him, and made a mental note to purchase one later. It was one thing to accomplish tasks with a wave of a wand, but after what had happened, Devin felt more comfortable using his physical strength to chop wood that he would eventually send to Ollivander's.

Once he had finished inspecting the greenhouses, he made his way to what was now his office, picking up the large duffel bag along the way. The door creaked as it opened. His thick, thunderous footsteps echoed through the empty room as he made his way in, and set the bag down near his desk. All this time, his thoughts wandered back to Siberia, and the time he spent there. It felt odd to him after having regained his memories, but he felt more at home there than he did here. "Elena...Pyotr, everyone...thanks for everything..." he whispered to himself as he slowly started to set up shop, unpacking his books and other things.

A sudden tapping on the glass of the greenhouse grabbed his attention, snapping him out of his deep thought. He stood up and slowly made his way outside, to the woman who was waiting for him. Her face was very familiar, yet the bonnet made placing his finger on the matter a bit difficult. Hopefully he could recall her name sooner or later, or risk certain embarrassment. "Hello," he green with a relaxing tenor tone and a smile. "May I help you?"
