Misery Loves Its Company--[Xerxes]

Leone's day had been completely off all day. Something had been bothering him all day and he was certain it was visible on his face. His reason for thinking this was because everyone seemed to be avoiding him. No one ever liked to be in company with someone that was in a bad mood or moping about something. It was a true fact and it had been proven on several occasions.

He had been taking part in avoiding people as well though. It had been a two for one special today when it came to avoiding people. He had been full on participating in this but he failed to noticed he had been. Whatever, he didn't care. Today things were weighing heavy on his mind.

The green eyed boy did care though. He had been avoiding one said person in particular all day. They had classes together though so that had been hard to participate in but he didn't sit by him or anything. If there was one person he didn't want to bring down with his attitude it was Xerxes and so he avoided him. Whether the Slytherin noticed this or not was not something he was sure of but that if he didn't notice it would be a bit sad to him.

It was was always something that he thought about around this time of the year. It was also the same time that it would take a while to get an owl from his mother back home. She always worried him when she wouldn't respond to his owls for days but his grandma was good enough to keep tabs on her. She had moved to England shortly after they had so that she could watch over his mother while he was at school. He was worried about her health and what she could do at this time of the year but his grandma kept her safe for him.

The brunette just sighed and leaned against the railing of the balcony on the fourth floor. It was just shortly after dinner and he had been taking his sweet time getting back to the tower. It wasn't curfew for 5th year students yet so he'd be fine if he stopped off here first. He wouldn't care if he got detention if he stayed there until after his curfew though as he'd rather not bring his fellow roommates down. He looked out at the over view of the grounds and watched it with a blank expression on his face.

"Stupid. Asshole. Bastard..." Leone had held all those words in today but being by himself made them slip out of his mouth with out him noticing and in his native tongue of Italian as well; silly Leone.

Xerxes attended all of the classes they had together. The boy hadn’t talked to him, hadn’t touched him, he hadn’t even gone near him. If Xerxes didn’t know any better, Leone had been avoiding him. It kind of… hurt, to say something. Leone was Xerxes’ friend, and he wanted to know what was up with Leone. He liked him enough to care. What had Xerxes done this time? Why was Leone avoiding him….? He needed to know. Leone wasn’t acting like himself, he seemed off, but Xerxes wouldn’t act like he cared as much as he really did. Hell, Leone didn’t even look at him during diner. Sure, they aren’t in the same house but, they were only a single table apart. So, Xerxes took the liberty of following stalking Leone. He found the brunette on the balcony, it really did seem like something was weighing on his dear Leone’s mind. He just wondered what it could be. Could it have been him? Did Xerxes do something to him, again? Did he mess with him without realizing it or something? All and all it made Xerxes kind of concerned… Especially considering he didn’t want to lose Leone, but you would never hear Xerxes say it allowed. That he, the commit issue Xerxes didn’t want to lose someone, which he didn’t want to throw him away. Leone was Xerxes’ boomerang; he kept coming back no matter how many times Xerxes threw him away. He couldn’t help but to hear his fellow fifth year say something in Italian. Luckily for Xerxes, he was fluent in Italian. Xerxes’ was actually better at it than he was in English. Actually, Xerxes sucked terribly at English, that being one of his worst languages next to Japanese and Chinese. “So, what’d I do now Leelee?” He asked in Italian, quickly coming out of the darkness with a smug smile on his face, hell, he couldn’t help but smile when Leone was practically basked in moonlight. He walked towards Leone, and leaned himself on the balcony. His blue eyes still focused on Leone as he expected the Gryffindor to answer him. Or he at least hoped Leone would answer him. ”No, but seriously… What’s up with you, man?”

Leone's eyebrows furrowed together as he kept staring off into the distance. It wasn't that he was mad at what he was looking at since it was just the school scenery. No, his thoughts were flying by him as they had been all day. All squarely focused on one specific person in his life or rather he wasn't anymore. He couldn't possibly have any other expression to have on his face about this person but complete hate.

His mother probably didn't realize all the hate that he harbored for his father. It was probably best that she didn't either because he tried to keep it to himself. He hated his father so much for just running off on his mother and him with some other woman. It made him so mad even just thinking about it. He almost felt like punching something in anger when he had went home from school that summer and found out.

Even now he felt like punching something and he never really did either. The expression on his face right now wasn't even one he made when he was mad at some either. It would be easy to tell that even when he was mad he wasn't really putting anything behind it. He was so fucking mad right now it wasn't even funny since the thoughts of his dad were still running through his mind. They were dancing at this point teasing him and only making him want to punch something more.

Of course, the last thing that the brunette expected was for Xerxes to come looking for him. He was oblivious to the fact that he had actually noticed that he had been avoiding him and was vaguely worried about him; only vaguely because this is Xerxes we are talking about. He tensed up when he heard the sound of his voice and avoided the urge to lash out in surprise. He had recognized his voice or at least his body did and kept him from doing something that might hurt the one he loved. He didn't move from where he was when he heard his voice sound again in Italian and came to lean up against the balcony beside him even refused to look at him when he could feel Xerxes' eyes on him.

"You didn't do anything, Xerxer." Leone said answering him with a sigh so he thought that he was mad at him. "Nothings up with me. I don't know what you're talking about, Xerxer..." He continued answering his second question although not giving him the answer he would be wanting.
