The start of what everyone assumed would be just another normal week at Hogwarts. What actually did happen, nobody was ready for, for not even the professors really understood what had actually happened. At least nobody will make the mistake of leaving third-years unsupervised within the dungeons again. To make a long story short, the chaos that struck Hogwarts did not come from a potion's explosion. No, it travelled upon the colourless vapors of a failed cough potion. Smelling oddly of ripe shoe. By the time that anyone realized that something was amiss, those vapors had drifted through half the school, including throughout the Great Hall where students had gathered for breakfast. Inhaling the vapors created a unique reaction within each student and professor. Altering their inner magic into ... something else. Muggleborns called it Super-powers. And it didn't take long for everyone to realize that each individual's power was different. And that with that power they lost their ability to use their wands and wandless magic. Panic flared and the professors acted. Drastic measures are being made to create a cure for the failed potion, whilst students are being kept within the school's grounds, at least until some sense had been made. It was quickly learned that those affected by the potion had to be kept relatively calm. Already three students had lost control over their new abilities. Two are comatose, one was locked up within one of those towers in solitude. All three personalities are completely altered. Crazed Time appears to be of the essence. -ARADIA [/style]

This event will run for a month. So until 13th of June, after that no new event threads can be made and everybody will have two weeks to finish the event threads that were already posted. All event threads should have [EVENT] listed somewhere in the thread title.

All event threads will run on liquid time, just know that no-one involved in them who developed a super power can use magic. Feel free to allow your characters to act as heroic or villainous as possible, just don't go about killing cannon characters. Unless you have received member and/or staff approval to do so.

To make things easier, list below what super-power and which character you want that power to belong to, as well as a brief description of the power that you desire. This makes it easier for role-playing and so that nobody has the same ability.
Be smart with your choice. Don't pick something stupid like "indestructibility" or "knowing everything."

TAKEN POWERS:

• Annalyn Mayfair, telepathy. Annie can hear the thoughts of others - often without meaning to - and can see through their eyes, should she try hard enough. The power extends, too, to animals. She can communicate through the link, either with words or with images.
  
  
• Alexandrie Rousseau, manipulation of kinetic energy. Alex can charge things with kinetic energy, turning ordinary items such as a quill into a lethal weapon. As a result, they usually explode. She often ends up with burns, and can simply burn herself just by being too angry. She can use this power to enhance her jumping ability, too.
  
  
• Pearl Livingston, Flight/Aerial adaptation with peak physical attributes and healing abilities. Her primary power would be that of natural flight, due to the large feathered wings that grew on her back painfully. Her wings have superhuman strength, and they have a very flexible skeletal structure that enables her to press them to the back of her torso and legs with only the slightest bulge visible under her clothing. Her hair also grew down to her butt and has a strange shimmer to it. She is able to heal someone by skin contact.
  
  
• Xerxes Aaron, pyrokensis. Xerxes has the power to create and control fire with his mind. Though, he can't really control it. Every time he gets pissed, xerxes will most likely light something on fire. Just, be really careful around him now.
  
  
• Alphonse Zoram, the power to manipulate hormones. Alphonse can create and manipulate a certain set of hormones, these hormones can manipulate various aspects of a person such as gender, body temperature, pigmentation, growth, and even emotional state. So, he can basically inject these through a cut that he can make with his nails.
  
  
• Miles Mortecai, the power to speak to nature. No, not just animals, no no. He can speak to trees, flowers, butterflies. Anything that has to do with nature. He can speak with. This is miles' dream come true. DON'T MESS IT UP FOR HIM. So, basically he can talk to anything that comes from nature, well, living anyway.
  
  
• Ariel Collins, merman. Ariel has the power of telekinesis with sea life, the ability to breathe under water, and survive great pressure, he also has the uncontrollably of his lower body shifting into a merman's or rather, a fish tail, when he gets the slightest bit wet.
  
  
• Meifeng Li-fen, super strength. You can never ever say, that meifeng isn't equal to any man now, junjing. Because now, she can beat the shit out of anything and everything. Yeah, lin, just be careful around her now. She might hug you too hard and end up making your guts come out your eyeballs.
  
  
• Charles Falke, minovsky particle omnipotency. Although the seeker was initially disappointed in the fact that he didn't end up with a power like the Herbology professor's, he gained a much more powerful asset. He is now capable of generating, manipulating, and become Minovsky particles; a unique type of elementary particle. The full extent of its capabilities are too much to list here, so please refer to here for in depth details. Charles can also compress these particles together to form mega-particles, forming the basis of a deadly particle weapon arsenal.
  
  
• Klaus Alexandersson, shields and barriers. The immovable object becomes nigh indestructible. Klaus becomes even more of a walking tank with his immensely increased physical resilience, able to survive anything short of being sucked into a black hole. Anyone looking for a fight should look elsewhere, as hitting him hard enough may be enough to break the attacker's fist. Klaus also gains the ability to create multiple barriers around him, objects, or other people in order to protect or immobilize.
  
  
• Devin Astor, rocket power. Devin essentially becomes a rocketman. He now has the ability to emit flames out of any and every part of his body in the form of an exhaust jet. Generating the the jets also develops massive thrust force, allowing him to propel himself at speeds reaching hypersonic levels. He may even use the jets to hover around or slow descent. This also allows him to attack and burn, even vaporize things on account of the sheer temperatures of the rocket jets. He can also launch an inanimate object he touches, turning them into rocket-propelled projectiles. The user is also granted immunity to fire/burns as well as the necessary physical augmentations needed cope with his abilities.
  
  
• Junjing Li-Fen; Electricty manipulation. Being to generate and propel charges of electricity ranging from minor to fatal voltage.He usually shapes them into forms of arrows and launches them from his bow from training, he can also use it with his other weapon he was trained in, kwan dao, for a more surprise, or even combine it with his hand combat training.
  
  
• Echo Lies, hypnosis. Although hypnosis comes with a lot of factors, her primary abilities are being able to put others to sleep, create an illusion for the victim, slight mind control, and can make them temporarily "fearless". Side affects for the victims include not being able to remember the period of time they were under hypnosis, being unable to see her during the time they are under hypnosis and increased body temperature.
  
  
• Asher Rousseau, pathfinding. Also known as "Super tracking", Asher can basically find anyone or anything simply by thinking about what he wants to find. Distance doesn't matter. Asher will also know what sort of condition that which he is searching for is in. So, for example, if the person is sick or injuries Asher will know it, as well as how badly injured they are or what sickness they have. And if an object is in the hands of somebody else, he'll also be able to name who that somebody is. He can only locate objects or people whom he has an impression of - meaning that if he hasn't physically seen them/it with his own eyes then he needs a photo or something. He also can't track the dead, or anything that moves without a pulse, like ghosts.
