Yet, he sadly never to meet his mother, for she died of breast cancer when Seth was only a year old. She was a powerful wizard, and well-known throughout Hogwarts and the wizard world. Although, his father on the other hand, was quite the opposite. He was a clumsy muggle, who had little interest in the wizard world. Since her father was so against magic, he never told his son that he was a wizard. Seth then lived his childhood in pain and suffering, for his father beat him every day. Seth was forced to clean the house, and if he messed up, he would get another pounding. The poor boy didn't know what to do. Twelve years old, and a letter came in the mail. It was for Seth. The father opened the letter, and quickly burned it before his son could read it. The next day, another one came. His father was asleep when it arrived, and Seth had been the one to retrieve the mail. He read the letter, his bruised heart now full of joy. Though, Seth knew his father would never let him go, so he asked him when he was drunk with a group of his friends. He of course said yes, though he didn't realize what he was doing. Seth then made his way to Hogwarts. The next year, when the new letter arrived, Seth's father was so insistent on him not going, he sent him off to boarding school. Luckily, the principal of the school fell in love with Seth, and decided to adopt him. His father, fortunately, agreed to the adoption. Seth now was living with a wealthy, dignified man, who as indeed, divorced. Ever since, Seth has been living in a nice home, with nice things. Although, there is still a void in his heart, something that he never really got until he was 13; love. Even now, he till doesn't get it fully, for his new father is always off doing "business". So why did his dad marry a witch if he was against magic? Or did he know about her being a witch? Please explain this.

He wouldn't have received his first letter from Hogwarts at 12. Every new student receives their first letter at the age of 11.
