He's open, friendly and patient. He's actually a bit of a stickler for british and pureblood traditions but generally, they are principles he lives by for himself. He doesn't expect people outside his family to share his views. His fellow professors might not like him very much considering how he encourages 'ill behavior' in students but all the same, he would get along with them even if it was a one-sided friendship. He subtly encourages all his students to come to him for help no matter what their problems are and he doesn't discriminate blood or breed.

You are, however, free to plot past crushes and maybe school ex-es. He wasn't the most morally behaved student back in school lol. One sided crushes are fine but keep in mind that Rufus isn't going to return your feelings. He's thoroughly satisfied with his own love life right now so if you're insistent, be expected to be turned down in the most bluntly eloquent way humanly possible. He doesn't do flings and etc etc.

It really depends on how they take to Rufus' eccentric ways but even then, Rufus never has truly ill intentions. He is, however, a proud slytherin. Threaten the well-being of anyone he cares about, namely family, friends and students, and he won't be very hesitant to show you how well versed the Irving family is in Dark Arts. And naturally, as the Slytherin head, he is whole-heartedly bias to his own house when it comes to inter-house competitions. After all, if he isn't supportive of his own snakes, who will?

Alright, just a few things I'd like to list:- ▻ He buys potion ingredients and books on his own but he puts it on your tab B] ▻ He's finished practically all the books in the 'friendly' section of the library. Expect him to call often for a pass into the restricted section. Rufus would make his life so much easier if he'd just give him unlimited access X3 ▻ He's a little too proud to admit it but he really wants to learn Animagi from you. Unfortunately, you are not the first teacher he's asked. It's been a while since you've taught him anything as a dad, and his heart is aching for father-son bonding. Somewhere real deep inside... ▻ Expect that he'll always play his part if you or any other Irving is in a pinch lolz, now that that's off my chest, let the plottage begin~! Lucas is such an independent boy. He's had to spend most of his time with tutors and nursemaids so actually, he's not quite sure how to react around Rufus. He knows that Rufus means a great deal to him, but most of the time, he can't really relate him to anything other than just another tutor save that he has the utmost respect for Rufus. Even if he is a bit of an oddball... I'd like to see how Rufus would remedy this. Come to think of it, does Rufus feel that there's anything he'd like to remedy at all?

She's a tad more mature and confident than before. Thanks to Rufus' (and Asher and others') good work, Gwyn is starting to behave more and more like a Slytherin. IMO she would have been much more suited as a Raven in the first place, but all's well that end's well. The Hufflepuff dorms are much closer to your dungeons. I originally planned to have her spend most of the summer hols bunking with you since momma and papa Irving are still (sort of) giving her a cold shoulder. If you're agreeable she'll have done some new potions tricks from you over the summer and gotten herself very well acquainted with her cousin. May write a fic about this later. So, Gwyn's still Gwyn. She won't be experimenting during class anymore, but there's still a chance she may blow up your dungeons during her extra-curricular endeavours. (They'll be a lot of those.) There's been quite a bit of improvement over the last year, but she's still learning how to get a grip on herself. She- she's also at about that age, isn't she? The one when she starts noticing the boys around her? lol, I doubt she'll get into any serious relationships but there's likely going to be a crush or two perhaps. amg, she's going to be so flustered and confused with herself~

But don't get him wrong, had it not been for his fear of underground places, he would've pretty much wiped the floor with you back in school. He would've competed with you in every possible way, seeing as Rufus would most likely have been the most outstanding Slytherin in their year. At the same time, Marcus would respect you more than any other peer. Ironically, Rufus could be considered his closest friend. I doubt there is anyone outside of his own family who would know him as much as Rufus does. So yea. Rivals in school. Now the are rivals as professors and undoubtedly rivals as heads. Just you wait, Rufus. The Ravens are coming away with the House and Quidditch Cups this year. Let the pranks and pwnage begin~ <3

here's pearl! she's the matron. so these two would definitely get along. like. they would help each other i'm sure. pearl is pretty fast and efficient in potions, it is a skill for healers and she was a healer before she was the matron. i'm sure she would ask rufus for some potions if need be too! so, definitely since they're both faculty they would get along i'm sure. what do you think? you have a better idea?

Yo, Professor. He's a werewolf and he has his um needs? Well he's bound to be on good terms with him. He provides him with his wolfsbane potion every full moon after all. He'd be thankful to him and he'll be practicing wolfsbane potion for when he graduates. he doesn't want to end up hurting his waifu after all
