ABOUT ME Gwyneth is a bit of an enigma, especially among the Irvings. She's a timid little thing, yet she manages to carry herself with every shred of dignity and confidence expected of the child heiress to one of the most venerable families in the wizarding world. If she were to be asked, Gwyn would attribute this courage to her insistence to display perfect etiquette. She falls back on protocol every time she feels scared or intimidated.
There are times when she does display 'true' courage. Like most purebloods, Gwyn is frightfully protective of her family. She's got a long way to go before she can render fear into people's hearts, but wrong or defame her family and you will definitely be facing the full wrath of this young witch. As with many of the Irving house, she has shown great potential in most areas of magic. If it were not for the hard-work and long hours spent studying, Gwyn could be labeled as 'prodigious', especially among her year-mates. This is especially true in the subjects of Charms (particularly in creation charms and charms with applied rune-work) and, more recently, potions. Her performance is a factor that contributes to the friction between herself and her peers.
After a year at Hogwarts, she's a little more sure of herself and what is expected of her. Gwyn doesn't really discriminate among blood and races (she had a different up-bringing) but she has started realizing how important it is to integrate herself among members of other pureblood families in order to attain her goal. She tends to be more polite and respectful towards them. Also, British teas don't taste so bad anymore either, although she still refuses to take pumpkin juice. It doesn't matter what others have told her. She detests pumpkin.

♠ FRIENDSHIPS ♠ FRIENDSHIPS ♠ FRIENDSHIPS ♠ FRIENDSHIPS
Gwyneth is slow to trust and slow to open herself to others. But over the past year, she's definitely gained a few good friends. These will mostly be the seniors, most of whom have contributed a great deal towards her development. For those that have earned a place in this girl's heart, she will readily offer care and assistance in any way she can.
Gwyn is soft-spoken and behaves a little awkwardly around strangers. Generally, she's very easy to get along with once you've overcome her shyness. She likes to please but her Irving-pride prevents her from truly becoming a pushover.

Hm~ now that the shock of returning to England has well passed, Gwyn is starting to take notice of the opposite sex. She's far too young for smut, but it would certainly be natural for her to have innocent, platonic crushes. The crushes may be mutual or one-sided (either party).
It'd be logical for Gwyn to have a fiance as well. It is commonplace for Irving children to have arranged marriages although in Gwyn's case, it was very likely broken off when she was sent to Japan. Had her father had her way, the poor girl would still be living in the far East. Gwyn would have no idea of such arrangements but she does know that it is her responsibility to maintain the immaculate Irving line. Any serious partner would have to be a pureblood, British and of notable birth (preferably from a family who has close ties with her father).

Practically all her year-mates would fall under this category. She's no favorite among her classmates, that's for sure. Unless you count her as their favorite target for pranks and teasing, in which case she is. She's experienced everything from misdirection to mud in her bed. She's never told anyone about her troubles and neither is she vengeful. But she does what she can to avoid them. Her new hair-color is bound to be a topic for jeers at some point in the school year.
If you've hurt or insulted her uncle or her friends, you most definitely have a place in this section. She'll never be the one to start a quarrel, but Gwyn has yet to master the art of self-restraint when she decides to intervene. It's a very Gryffindor-trait, but she won't appreciate being likened to a member of the Lion house. (No offence, Asher. For some reason, it's just never pleasant when Rufus calls her that.)

Gwyn actively seeks out people to learn from. If there's anything (other than her obligation towards proper etiquette) that can get her past her bashfulness, it'd be her curiosity. She literally forgets her fears when faced with a shiny new piece of knowledge. She's completely trusting of her 'mentors', and is only judgmental when it comes to the amount of things she believes she can learn from them. Even then, she is only mildly so.
